NEWPORT COUNTY — Nonprofit organizations serving one or more of the towns of Newport County may apply for a “small grant” from the Newport County Fund (NCF). The grants, which range from $1,000 to $10,000, are awarded where a relatively small amount of money can be of assistance to a nonprofit organization serving county residents. The application deadline is March 15. Last year, NCF awarded $110,144 to 16 local nonprofits. Visit www.rifoundation.org/tabid/187/Default.aspx
