For Tiverton seniors, a truly special gift

To the editor:

On December 14 the Senior Citizens of 99 Hancock St., 345 Hancock St., and Alicia Circle on Stafford Road were given a special Christmas gift by Mr. Dick Danner and his wife Debi.

They hired a school bus to pick us up at our door and bring us to Tiverton High School to hear a wonderful “Winter Concert” directed by Mike Alves, Gail Berberick and Beth Bergeron.

Mr. Danner was our escort on the bus and we were greeted at the door by Mrs. Danner along with students who gave us each a carnation. We were brought in first to the empty auditorium, then followed by the rest of the audience.

The performance was truly wonderful. The children are so talented and their parents must be very proud of them all.

Refreshments were served at intermission and at the end of the performance we took “the long way home” so that we could enjoy the homes that were lit up for the holiday.

We sang Christmas Carols and we were given small Christmas ornaments, chocolates and even bottled water.

Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Danner for giving us a wonderful evening of fun and entertainment. Sincerely,

Maureen True
